On 30-31 January 2006 the Monetary Policy Council held a meeting.

The Monetary Policy Council decided to reduce the NBP interest rates by 0.25 percentage point to the level of:

• reference rate 4.25% on an annual basis;
• lombard rate 5.75% on an annual basis;
• deposit rate 2.75% on an annual basis;
• rediscount rate 4.50% on an annual basis.
