Press release from the meeting of the Monetary Policy Council held on 23-24 June 2009

On 23-24 June 2009 the Monetary Policy Council held a meeting.

The Monetary Policy Council decided to lower the NBP interest rates by 0.25 percentage points:

• reference rate to 3.50% on an annual basis;
• lombard rate to 5.00% on an annual basis;
• deposit rate to 2.00% on an annual basis;
• rediscount rate to 3.75% on an annual basis.

The resolution of the MPC comes into force as of 25 June 2009.
