| Honorary doctorate to Professor Marek Belka
Date: 27-09-2011 On Wednesday, 28 September 2011, the Wrocław University of Economics will award an honorary doctorate to Professor Marek Belka, President of the National Bank of Poland. The honorary doctorate conferring ceremony, to be held during the inauguration of the academic year at the Wrocław University of Economics, will commence at 1 p.m. in the John Paul II Auditorium, building P (ulica Komandorska 118/120, Wrocław). During the ceremony, Professor Marek Belka will deliver an inauguration lecture on “The Polish Road to the Euro”. The event is open to members of the media. At the same time, we wish to communicate that last weekend Mr Belka was awarded the title of the “Central Bank Governor of the Year for Emerging Europe 2011”.
