Date: 08-10-2020
Narodowy Bank Polski has been awarded the main prize in a campaign organized by a leading Polish newspaper ”Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” for its extremely swift and efficient provision of liquidity to the entire Polish economy and Polish enterprises on an unprecedented scale.
The awards gala of the eighth edition of the ”No future without entrepreneurship” campaign organized by ”Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” took place on 7 October 2020. Narodowy Bank Polski received one of three main prizes awarded to institutions which had been heavily involved in helping entrepreneurs during the difficult time brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The award was collected on behalf of Narodowy Bank Polski by Mr Paweł Szałamacha, member of the NBP Management Board. Thanking the organisers for the award, he underscored that Poland was managing the crisis well due to three factors: first, the determination on part of companies’ owners, shareholders and managers to keep them afloat, second, the available fiscal space which the government has not hesitated to use, and thirdly, the prompt and extraordinary actions taken by Narodowy Bank Polski.
”No future without entrepreneurship” is an annual nationwide campaign organized by ”Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”, during which journalists, entrepreneurs and government officials jointly participate in actions and events fostering entrepreneurship.
