Rafał Sura
Member of the Monetary Policy Council
(term of office: 16-11-2016 – 16-11-2022)
Born in Przemyśl on 14 May 1979.
Graduate of law at the Catholic University of Lublin. He holds a postdoctoral degree (Dr. habil.) in the Science of Law. Until 16 November 2016 he was a judge of the Tribunal of State. He headed a team of experts on the economic law of public entities in the Centre for Legal Analysis and Opinions of de Virion Academy in Warsaw. Former member of the supervisory bodies of commercial law companies. Member of the Scientific Council of the Sejm Review. Legal counsel in the Regional Chamber of Legal Counsels in Rzeszów.
Since 2003 he has been an academic at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the Catholic University of Lublin, where he holds the title of associate professor. He is also a lecturer at the State Higher School of Technology and Economics in Jarosław and at the Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University in Lutsk, Ukraine. He is the author of numerous research papers and legal opinions in the area of banking law and administrative law.
On 16 November 2016 the Senate of the Republic of Poland appointed Rafał Sura to the Monetary Policy Council.
