At the meeting on April 4th, 2001 the Commission for Banking Supervision approved the appointment of: - Mariusz Cezary Grendowicz to the position of the Management Board Chairman of ABN Amro Bank (Polska) S.A. with a seat in Warsaw,
- Pawel Jozef Ziolkowski to the position of the Management Board member of ABN Amro Bank (Polska) S.A. with a seat in Warsaw,
- Krzysztof Bogucki to the position of the Management Board member of Bank Komunalny S.A. with a seat in Gdynia.
The Commission for Banking Supervision issued permission for the merger of Gospodarczy Bank Wielkopolski S.A. with a seat in Poznan and Baltycki Bank Regionalny S.A. with a seat in Koszalin. It is the first case of such a merger in Poland after the "Act on cooperative banks, their mergers and merging banks" of December 7th, 2000 became effective.
The Commission for Banking Supervision extended by 3 months the period of administrators' appointment at Wielkopolski Bank Rolniczy S.A. in Kalisz.
The Commission for Banking Supervision made the evaluation of the economic situation of banks in 2000.
