| Changes in the Management Board of the National Bank of Poland

Today, the President of the Republic of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski - at the proposal of the President of the National Bank of Poland, Leszek Balcerowicz - appointed Mr. Andrzej Stanislaw Bratkowski the Deputy President of the NBP and dismissed Mr. Ryszard Kokoszczynski from the position of the Deputy President of the NBP.
The President of the RP appointed Ms. Joanna Wielgorska-Leszczynska and Mr. Jozef Sobota, the insofar employees of the NBP, the members of the Management Board of the NBP. At the same time, the President dismissed from the Management Board of the NBP Ms. Ewa Popowska, Mr. Krzysztof Majczuk and Mr. Waldemar Szostak who will still work at the National Bank of Poland.
As a result of these changes the number of members of the NBP Management Board has been reduced to seven that is the minimum required by law.
